What can you expect?

You can either book a half-day guided tour from Seville that includes a beautiful tour of the First Roman city founded in the Iberian Peninsula and the birthplace of the Emperors Trajan and Hadrian. You will get to see the most important building of the site, the amphitheatre which is the third largest in the world. Also, you will get a view of the famous and beautiful mosaics and “domus”. But that’s not all, as it’s a half-day tour you will also get to visit the Roman Theatre that’s located in the centre of the village Santiponce and the monastery of San Isidoro that’s also in that town.

There is also the Game of Thrones and Roman Empire Italica Tour that if you’re a fan of the show you will absolutely love and recognize many spots. The tour is a walk through the 7th and 8th season filming locations. You will get to see Khaleesi’s Dragonpit as you walk through the amphitheatre, discover the interesting history of the place while you set foot on the same spots that many of your favourite characters did. You will meet your guide right at the entrance of Italica.

How to get there

Itálica is located in the outskirts of Sevilla. If you select the half-day tour option, the excursion offers transfer from a meeting point: 10 am at Calle Trajano number 6, 9:50 am at Hotel Don Paco or 9:45 am at Calle Rastro 12A.

Prefer to use public transport? Take the C5 train from the centre and stop at “Estación de tren Camas”. There, you will need to take the M-170b bus and stop at “Italica” – it will leave you right there!

Alternatively, a taxi might be a good option depending on what part of Sevilla you’re staying. Always check with your hotel on what options you have available as they will use reputable companies.
