The Resort

This all-inclusive paradise is a popular choice for families visiting Tenerife. Right on the seafront in the quiet resort Playa Paraíso, this hotel boasts stunning sea views. You can walk along the small promenade towards the high street that consists of a handful of bars, restaurants and gift shops or walk 100 metres up hill towards the Rosa Centre. This shopping centre isn’t huge, but it has plenty on offer and even has a small soft play centre for toddlers. There’s a bus stop close to the shopping centre and buses run every half an hour to the busier resorts of Costa Adeje, Las Americas and Los Cristianos for under 5 euros. Taxis to attractions such as Siam Park cost around 20 euros. There are small pebble stone beaches in front of the hotel and the nearest white sandy beach is Playa Del Duque, which is around 15-20 euros away in a taxi. Many staying at this hotel choose to hire a car during their stay. The hotel has an underground car park. This must be reserved with reception and costs around 10 euros per day. Free parking outside the hotel is possible however, it isn’t always available.

Gastronomy

Not many hotels in the Canaries offer 24-hour All-inclusive facilities but the Riu Buenavista is a welcome exception. Buffet restaurants, themed Asian and Italian restaurants and snack bars enable families some choice during their stay rather than one standard dining option. They will also heat baby food, provide highchairs and hot water if needed. You will find microwaves in the buffet restaurant too. Bottled water is available behind the reception bar and the reception desk 24/7. Reservations are required for the themed restaurants, so we recommend you book these on arrival.

The Rooms

Rooms are large here. You can book one bedroom family suites that sleep up to four people and they even have a selection of two-bedroom apartments that can sleep up to six. Cots will be provided as a standard for children under two or by request for older kids. All rooms have mini fridges and the bathrooms have showers. If you need to hire a baby bath, take a look at our hire shop. One can be delivered directly to the hotel ready for your arrival.

The Pools

There are 4 swimming pools in total, three of which are heated in the winter months (including the children’s pool). The kids pool even has a small slide. There is a very shallow pool which is perfect for babies to splash around in. There’s a play park close by too. The infinity pool is beautiful for swimming and relaxing, and the other main pool is where activities take place such as aqua gym and water polo.

Kids Clubs & Entertainment

The kids club offers fantastic entertainment for children aged between 4-12 years in the Riuland Kids Club. With games, sports, arts and crafts and dancing, little ones will never be bored. We recommend that you speak with reception at the time of check in regarding kid's club reservations and timings.

The animation team in the hotel work hard day and night providing a variety of family friendly entertainment for everyone to enjoy. From Aqua Gym to yoga, football, archery and more. The main evening entertainment is family focused but there is a quiet lobby bar too for those wanting a little more relaxation. With nightly shows and a special Riu Party night held once a week, there is something to keep the whole family happy here.
