1. Visit one of the two water parks
- Aguamar Water Park: it’s the closest water park to the capital, located in the south-east of the island, in Playa d’en Bossa. You will find several adrenaline-inducing rides such as Kamikaze slide or Agujero Negro (Black Hole). But if you’re travelling with toddlers or smaller children there are multicoloured slides that are baby friendly as well as a children’s pool.
- Sirenis Aquagames Ibiza: located in the west of Ibiza, a wonderful place to spend a family day out thanks to their wide range of rides and attractions for all ages and heights. The Tornado and Multitrack Slides for faster and more exciting rides. Then, for the smaller kids, they have Caribbean Pirates’ Boat, water jets, a safari surrounded by palm trees, a kids’ pool and more! The possibilities for a fun time are endless.
2. Mercadillos hippies or Street Markets
Two street markets with unique handcrafted items you won’t find anywhere else – your chance to get the best souvenir during your family trip to Ibiza!
- Las Dalias is located on the outskirts of the town San Carles de Peralta. If you want to go during the morning, on Saturday the market opens from 10 to 20. But we recommend you to go either on Monday, Tuesday or Sunday as they do a “night market”, opening up from 19 to 0:30 so you are able to look through everything without the heat of the island and with the nice ambiance of live music. These opening and closing times are all from June to September.
- Es Canar is located in the street “Avinguda Punta Arabí” which is why the market is often called Punta Arabí as well, within the town of Es Canar. This market is the oldest and biggest of Ibiza, with more than 500 craftsmen that sell some wonderful and unique items. You will even have the luxury to see some of the people working on their craft right there at the market. They even have a Hippy Kids stand, a play zone area for the little ones where they can have some fun doing their own crafts. The market opens from 10 to 19 on Wednesdays.
A one-day escape from Ibiza to the Formentera Island – the ultimate family adventure! There are many incredible, kid-friendly and unique experiences within this small island.
- Visit the Ses Illetes beach (The Islands’ beach), the pink lake Estany Pudent or the leaky cave.
- Another good option is to stay more than a day and visit the entire island if you have the time. Explore Formentera through its creeks, villages and be astonished by its gorgeous landscapes and its very own particular feeling.
