Going from the airport to the centre of Palma, the capital, or S’Arenal is very easy as it’s a pretty small island. We will explain you all the different options you have to get to the centre comfortably and safely.
Bus: A1 is the airport bus that will take you to the centre of Palma. During the summer their frequency of the buses is higher, you have one every 15 minutes. The bus stop is right outside the departures exit of the airport, very easy to find. This line is operative the 24 hours of the day during the summer. It costs 5€ for each trip, which you can pay to the driver (only cash), and the trip takes around 10-15 minutes to reach the first stop within the city.
If your accommodation is in S’Arenal the bus you will have to take is the A2. The price is the same as the other line, 5€ and you can pay to the driver in cash as well. It takes a bit more as there are stops in-between, but in less than 30 minutes you should reach your stop; it depends on where your accommodation is.
Taxi: Definitely a comfortable and safe option and the best one if you are not going to the capital and you’re staying in another location further away from the airport. It costs approximately 25€ to get to the centre of Palma.
Rental cars: The best option if you are not staying in Palma and if you are playing to visit the island thoroughly, travelling to different towns and villages. There are several car rental companies at the airport, but the most common and best-rated ones are Autos Mallorca and Europcar. They have a wide selection of vehicles, so you can find a big and comfortable one for your family. The price may vary depending on the vehicle, brand and dates of your trip.
